KALISPELL - The Bigfork tennis teams got a confidence booster Monday afternoon.

The Western A Bigfork boys' and girls' teams swept head-to-head competitions with Western AA Kalispell Glacier by identical 5-3 scores.

The Vikings swept through the singles matches without dropping a set. Phillipe Meyers took the No. 1 point with a 6-1, 6-4 victory over Patrick Phattharaampornchai. Bridger Mahlum, Sean Barrett and Jordan Sabo also posted singles wins for the Vikings.

Scott Taylor and Tyler Butts combined for the lone doubles triumph for Bigfork. They won the top doubles match 6-1, 6-4 over Kyle Schmauch and Scott Marvin.

The tandems of Brandon Simpson/Dan Howell, Tyson Howe/Tyler Russell and Juan-Pablo Gevaudan/Kyle Leduc posted wins for the Wolfpack.

The Vals were led by Quindee Averill, who outlasted Cami Mathison 2-6, 6-3, 6-3 at No. 1 singles. Other singles winners for Bigfork were Arianna Shults and Lisa Kelecy.

Glacier received a win in the No. 2 singles spot from Liana Bates, who bested Roxy Thurman 6-0, 6-1.
