At Polson, the Pirates had a two-run rally in the bottom of the eighth to sneak past Columbia Falls for the Western A win.

Staci Benson went 3-for-3 and Amanda James had a triple to lead Polson.

On the mound, Dakota Peterson held the Wildkats to six hits en route to her 13th win.

Amber James was 2-for-3 with a solo home run for Columbia Falls.

At Anaconda, Maggie Green was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs to lead the Copperheads to the nonconference win.

King picked up the win on the rubber for the Heads, who improved to 4-8.

Desiree Clarke knocked in three runs to lead Whitefish, which fell to 7-9.
