“We only allowed four (batters) in the fourth.” Libby pitcher Brooke Hageness was just as impressive. She allowed five hits, struck out seven and walked one batter. Abby Connolly and Sabrina Kenfield both went 2-for-3 for Glacier. Libby’s Laice Dedrick went 2-for-3. There were no extra-base hits in the contest. “We left some runners stranded on second a couple of times,” Bemis said. “We got on her (Hageness), but either flied out or hit it right to people. Libby is a good team, didn’t make any mistakes. They fielded them, got us out. It was hard to score.” Glacier returns to AA play on Thursday versus Flathead. Libby’s next action is today at Polson, 5 p.m. “Compton pitched well for them,” said Libby coach Dean Thompson. “She kept us on our toes, she pitched well. It was just that one inning that we did the scoring.” Glacier 000 000 0 — 0 5 1 Libby 000 003 x — 3 6 2 Jesse Compton and Brittany Franklin; Brooke Hageness and Shelby Barton; W — Hageness (11-20; L — Compton.
