POLSON 4 WHITEFISH 2 At Polson, Rochelle Woods powered the Pirates past the Bulldogs in a winter-like Western A contest. Woods went 1-for-3 with a run batted in and also pitched two innings to help Polson (6-0, 9-1) to the win. SuSan Perez-Tenas and Dakota Peterson also pitched for the Pirates, who jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning. Woods improved to 2-0 on the season. Perez-Tenas had an RBI. Polson's other game, with Libby, was postponed and will be made up April 29 at 6 p.m. in Polson. Devyn Ost was 2-for-4 with a solo home for Whitefish (3-2, 3-4).
