Polson finished with 17 hits in the Western A matchup. Columbia Falls had nine. Amanda James homered for Polson and finished with two RBIs. Charlee Jensen led the Pirates offensively, going 3-for-5. She doubled twice. Rochelle Woods tripled for Polson. Amber James went 2-for-5 for Columbia Falls. She had the team’s only extra base hit — a double. She drove in both Wildkat runs. Whitefish (3-2) scored two unearned runs in the first inning and added another run in the fourth. Alyssa Hodson went the distance for Browning (0-4), holding Whitefish to three hits. The game was originally scheduled for Whitefish, but moved to Browning because of wet field conditions. It was the third-straight win for Whitefish. Browning plays a doubleheader at Libby on Saturday. Whitefish’s next game is April 18 at Libby.
