COLUMBIA FALLS - Bigfork cleaned up in singles play and won two of three matches for a 6-1 Class A dual tennis victory over Columbia Falls on Thursday.
All matches were decided in two sets.
The tightest battle came at No. 3 singles where Elyse Myers of Bigfork held off Natalie Law, 6-4, 6-4. Those two battled on Monday in Bigfork with Myers prevailing 6-1, 6-1.
Bigfork won that dual 7-0.
Vic Peterson and Hanna Barrett of Bigfork outlasted Steph Raymond and Shelby Hobbs 6-4, 6-2 at No. 1 doubles.
Aysia Potter and Franki Anderson of Columbia Falls defeated Kianna Wicklund and Anna Marie Loese at No. 3 doubles, 6-3, 6-1.

LIBBY - Jackie Mee dropped only one game in two matches as Libby defeated Whitefish and Eureka in dual action.
Mee is now 10-0 at No. 1 singles.
Libby used victories at Nos. 1-4 singles and 1-3 doubles to edge Whitefish.
Whitefish's Merideth Reed and Chelsi Birgensmith prevailed in a pair of wild matches at Nos. 2-3 singles, respectively. Reed won 7-6 (9-7), 2-6, 6-1 win over Audra Poppen, and Birgensmith escaped with a 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 win over Lindsey Kehn.
Libby's Chelsea Oeldewaldt bested Eureka's Liz Hauser, 5-7, 7-5, 6-4 , at No. 4 singles.

BIGFORK - Three days later, Bigfork gained some revenge.
The Vikings, 4-3 losers to Columbia Falls on Monday in Columbia Falls, posted a 5-2 dual win over the Wildcats on Thursday.
Sean Barrett, who did not play Monday, got Bigfork off to a positive start with a 6-4, 6-0 win at No. 1 singles.
Bigfork's Evan Jordt followed at No. 2 with a pressing 6-0, 5-7, 6-4 triumph over Scott Hopkins.
The Vikings went 4-0 in singles play and added a win at No. 3 doubles.
"We've seen improvement overall," Bigfork assistant coach Matt Porrovecchio said.
"I think the practices and time on the court is starting to come together."

Libby's Hunter Sheffield and Levi Edwards-Mysliki pulled out exciting wins at Nos. 2-4 singles over Tanner Hosek and Tyler Schiff, respectively.
Sheffield won 0-6, 6-4, 6-3 and Edwards-Mysliki came out on top 3-6, 6-3, 7-5.
