Bigfork def. Whitefish, 3-2 At Whitefish, the Vals picked up a Northwestern A win over the Bulldogs in five games. The teams combined for 194 digs and 88 kills in the match. Bigfork (1-0) won the first two games 25-17, 25-13 before Whitefish (0-1) stormed back 25-21 and 25-17 to tie the match at two games apiece. The Vals needed extra points in the fifth game to outlast the Bulldogs 17-15. Roxy Thurman contributed 21 kills, three blocks and 34 digs to lead Bigfork. The Vals' Rachael Luckow handed out 20 assists and Mallery Knoll had five aces as well. Whitefish's McCara Cullen lead the Bulldogs with 13 kills and 20 digs. Jade Hansen added 17 assists.
