GOLF ROUNDUP: Broncs keep rolling: Hamilton boys win own invite; Whitefish girls claim crown

HAMILTON - The Hamilton boys' golf team keeps piling up the wins.

The Broncs nipped Whitefish by a single stroke to take the title Saturday at their own Hamilton Invitational at Hamilton Golf Club.

The Broncs added the title in their own tournament to ones they've already collected at both Anaconda tournaments and the Class A Missoula Invite.

This one was as close as it gets. The Broncs, behind medalist Tyler Jessop's 1-under-par 71, totaled 320 strokes, one stroke better than Whitefish. The Missoula Big Sky JV took third at 351.

Hamilton's Jason Jessop and Reed Platke of Whitefish tied for second at 76. Kyle White of the Missoula Sentinel JV shot a 78 to take fourth and Casey Diaz of the Missoula Big Sky JV was fifth at 79.

Whitefish ran away with the girls' team title with a score of 375. Polson was second at 419, followed by the Missoula Hellgate JV at 453.

Kiley McConnell of Whitefish was the girls' medalist, shooting an 85. Anaconda's Teryn Green was next at 88, followed by Polson's Natalia Arlint at 93. BreAnna Cameron of Whitefish was fourth at 94, while Polson's Amy Williamson and Danielle McCully of Whitefish tied for fifth at 97.
