SOFTBALL ROUNDUP: Wildkats drub Loggers on the road

LIBBY - The Columbia Falls softball team picked up a Western A road win on Friday by beating the defending Class A state champions on their diamond.

The Wildkats pounded out 13 hits in earning a 15-8 victory over the Libby Loggers.

Cassidee Skiles led the way with a 3-for-4 effort and a pair of runs batted in. Amber James had two hits and five RBIs, while Kayla Stinger added two hits and four RBIs.

Pitcher Morgan Rowe survived a five-run rally in the seventh inning by the Loggers to get the win for Columbia Falls.

Nickole Lapka went 2-for-3 to pace Libby at the plate and Emily Monroe hit a two-run home run.
